Shares of telecom vendor Alcatel-Lucent , which is in the process of merging with Nokia , are down 13 cents, or 3.4%, at $3.68, after activist investors Elliott Management reportedly took a 1.3% stake in the stock, as reported yesterday by The Financial Times 's Daniel Thomas and Miles Johnson , citing regulatory filings. The authors note that the stake, in the form of derivatives contracts for equity swaps, comes with no comment from Elliott.
