As Light Reading has reported before, 2016 is the year that will see network functions virtualization plans migrate from proof-of-concept stage to actual network deployment in a serious way. But to achieve that crucial shift, network operators need to be able to source reliable, carrier-grade solutions that can ultimately deliver efficiencies and new business opportunities while existing alongside current multivendor production platforms.
